Keepmoat, in collaboration with nineteen47, has taken a substantial step forward by submitting a comprehensive planning application to the North Lincolnshire Council. The proposed development is situated at Lincolnshire Lakes, an expansive tract of land located adjacent to the M181 highway on the outskirts of Scunthorpe.
Revitalising Agricultural Land: The Development Scope
This application seeks to unlock the potential of a 62-acre site currently utilied for agricultural purposes. The aim is to transform this plot into a bustling residential hub, featuring a total of 599 homes. The envisioned housing mix includes a range of options, from cosy two-to-three-bedroom dwellings to more spacious three-to-four-bedroom family homes. The property types span detached, semi-detached, and terraced houses, as well as bungalows.

The proposed development emphasizes diversity, catering to various housing needs within the community. While all homes are intended to be available for open-market purchase, a viability assessment has indicated that incorporating affordable housing could render the project economically unfeasible.
