SAP calculations are the government standard assessment procedure for assessing the energy performance of dwellings. The SAP rating is based on energy costs associated with space heating, water heating, ventilation and lighting. We can then deduct cost savings from energy generating technologies, such as solar panels if installed.
SAP Calculations or Standard Assessment Procedure calculations are used to estimate the output of energy and CO2 emissions within a property. The results provided can then be used to show the energy efficiency that the dwelling will be constructed.
These will conform to Part L, Part F and Part G of the necessary building regulations.
All new-build dwellings or development planned for residential use will need SAP and Dwelling Emission Ratings. Therefore, SAPs are required before the construction phase can begin.
