Councillors have viewed detailed plans to turn a former Rolls Royce plant into a major housing development in Dundonald, Northern Ireland.

£25 million proposal ahead of any decision

A special planning meeting of Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council (LCCC) allowed members to explore the full £25 million proposal ahead of any decision to be made.

The potential Belfast based, Lagmar Properties Limited development at Dundonald would include over 150 residential builds. The housing component of the scheme will include a mix of apartments, terraced, semi-detached and detached homes.

Decision due in March

More details of the proposals will be presented during a pre-application community consultation which will be run digitally. The plans are expected to come before the LCCC planning committee for a decision in March.
